Stuart Horsburgh

Stuart commenced as a graduate at Touché Ross gaining experience in the Audit and Corporate Services divisions. In this time, he managed many assignments including external audits on listed clients, internal audit, transaction services and Corporate Finance activities.

He moved to Pacific Dunlop (an ASX Top 20 Company) and worked in the strategic direction division in Head Office, evaluation operations and buying and acquiring and disposing of businesses. Stuart was approached to move to Repco, where he was significantly involved in the floating of Repco and became Commercial Manager of the Wholesale division.

He joined BDO Melbourne to establish the Corporate Finance section of the business, whilst obtaining executive experience in Corporate Governance.

A Chartered Accountant by profession who has in the last decade focused on areas of Corporate Governance including but limited to:

  • Risk Management
  • Crisis Management
  • Emergency Management
  • Internal Audit and Assurance Activities
  • Business Continuity
  • Contract Verification
  • Advice to Boards and Audit and Risk Committees.

His experience in Corporate Governance has been enhanced by being seconded in a many roles as interim CFO, Internal Audit Manager, Risk Manager and Secretary to Audit and Risk Committees.
