Paul Meyers is a serial entrepreneur and Asian digital veteran, helping to build Asia's start-up ecosystem over the past 25+ years. Having started and exited a number of companies – including a NASDAQ listing (IASIA) and an international trade sale (Acme Mobile) - Paul has also raised tens of millions of dollars in venture funding from private and institutional investors
Paul has deep experience and relationships with founders, investors and accelerators across the region. Most recently, as an Advisor at ADBVentures, Paul helped to build the Asian Development Bank’s first emerging market impact fund. Previously, he ran Telstra’s popular early stage accelerator program muru-D in Asia.
Paul was Southeast Asia Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) for SOSV’s MOX - The Mobile Accelerator and has also worked as a mentor and advisor with Chinaccelerator, 500 Start-ups, TechStars, Seedstars, GSMA’s M4D, SheLovesTech, Founder Institute, Singapore Management University, and others.
Before his start-up days, Paul was a successful senior business development executive, working in the US and Asia. He negotiated tens of millions’ worth of sales and distribution partnerships and joint ventures with Viacom/MTV Networks, Vodafone, Microsoft, Xerox, ESPN/STARSports, Comcast, Electronic Arts, the Axiata Group, the Singtel Group and many others.
Paul is a regular writer on start-ups, funding, acceleration and impact and is a popular speaker and moderator at live events around the region. He lives with his 3 children in Singapore, where he is a long-term Permanent Resident.
