With a background in electronics and software development, John tried various start-ups of his own until joining up with friends he developed an 18 person software services business into a 140 person business in eight cities in four countries.

After exiting that business, John was encouraged to join one of Australia’s first tech focussed corporate advisory businesses as a partner. In that role he played a significant part in the early stage funding and IPOs of some of Australia’s more successful tech companies including Seek, Adacel, FreeOnline (Sharinga), Red Sheriff, Prophecy etc.

Since that time, John has focussed on two areas of tech and early stage business development:

  • Mentoring / advising founders and CEOS; and
  • Taking on interim, C level roles to build capability through growth phases.

Due to the insights available from the diversity of his experience, John is likely to propose a solution that is immediately simple and obvious.
