David Klinger

David has worked in capital markets and technology for over 30 years.  He is very active in the innovation space in Australia advising startups, raising capital and assisting in their go-to market and commercialisation strategies.  He has also been responsible for helping companies establish governance and compliance structures to help them scale effectively.

He has extensive expertise in financial services having been a senior executive at Macquarie Bank and Credit Suisse where he was one the pioneers in the move into electronic trading in the capital markets.  He has also been the CEO of startups Liquidnet Asia and Block Event, both innovative equity trading firms

David lived in Hong Kong for ten years where he managed teams and drove business expansion into many Asian countries He is currently the Chair of the Australian chapter of Quorum 15, an industry group comprised of senior representatives from major stockbrokers and fund managers.  His knowledge of market structure has morphed into a keen interest in blockchain projects, crypto and alternative assets and markets.

David is an active investor and advisor in early stage companies.  In 2018 he co-founded Spring Capital,  a venture capital company which specialises in providing growth capital to emerging technology companies.  He is a mentor at Fintech hub Stone and Chalk.
